Why Kairos Academy Pathfinders?
We are Kairos Academy Pathfinders. Each word in our name was chosen intentionally, and we deliberately chose three words because a cord of three strands is not easily broken. Our whole name is more than the sum of its parts, but to understand the whole we must first explore the parts. In this post, we will share the heart behind the first word in our name: Kairos.
Our First Name: Kairos
Kairos is a Greek word for time. In the Bible, Kairos is used to describe Holy Spirit time. Kairos is the propitious time, the right time, the time that God has chosen for a particular action or idea. Whereas chronos measures time as we see it pass on a clock, kairos speaks of the timing of God's will—of the perfect time.
Kairos Academy Pathfinders is here for such a time as this. We embody a movement of believers that is committed to equipping church congregations to equip parents to teach their children now. The need has never been greater, and the parents of our children have never been more aware of just how great that need is.
Now is the time for parents to choose to take a greater leadership role in the education of our children. But the challenge feels overwhelming to many parents. Kairos Academy Pathfinders is here for such a time as this—to show the way to overcome those challenges. Many parents feel ill-equipped to successfully take charge of their children’s education. Kairos Academy Pathfinders is here for such a time as this—to help churches equip parents to succeed at that very thing. There are more resources available for parent-led education than ever before, but it can be really hard to know where to look for just the right materials for a particular child. God has called the movement that is Kairos Academy Pathfinders into existence for such a time as this, and His timing cannot be improved upon. We have chosen to let go of worry about clocks and to focus on doing what we see God doing when He is doing it—that is what it means to choose to dwell in Kairos.. Come join the adventure.
