At Kairos Academy Pathfinders we are working to connect church congregations and families with the resources they need to form whole persons. Our curriculum tools will include a database of published homeschooling curriculum and a growing suite of curriculum we have written ourselves to fill holes in the existing offerings. However, we will offer and encourage the use of much more than just academic curriculum. We believe we are truly called to the promote the development of the heart, soul, mind, and strength of our members.

Church-Based Leadership
Our program will be delivered through Academies: Church congregation-guided communities built to support parent-led Christian discipleship of children. Every Academy will be chartered by a local church congregation. We will provide tools to train leaders in those Academies to build heart and soul care into the life of the members. We strive to make healthy loving individuals and relationships a hallmark of Kairos Academy Pathfinders at every level.
Built into the Structure
Each Academy is envisioned to have a leader devoted to promoting the growth of the members as people who love the Lord their God with all their hearts and with all their souls: The Heart and Soul Coordinator. From personality types and social styles, to fundamental lessons in how to love your neighbor, the KAP way draws on the knowledge God provides members about Him, about themselves, and about one another to instill the wisdom needed to live well in a loving Kingdom-building community.

Curriculum Database
Connecting each child to curriculum that fits
Capturing the wisdom of the community
We are creating a curriculum database to connect each child to the curriculum that fits him best. The homeschooling community is blessed with a vast array of curriculum options and we are working to capture that diversity in our database. There is a dizzying assortment of curriculum reviews out there from homeschool moms, teachers, writers, and others. At Kairos Academy Pathfinders, we are working to gather information about the curriculum and the reviews in a single place to serve our members.
Reviews with style but not how you think
We aren't just gathering reviews by others. Kairos Academy Pathfinders is reviewing curriculum and will make those reviews available to our members (Pathfinders). Like many other reviewers, we will address each product's consistency with a Biblical worldview and its academic quality and rigor. However, unlike existing reviews, ours will also specifically and deliberately complement our assessments by focusing on identifying the assessment profiles (learning style, academic level, interest profile, etc.) each product is best suited to.
Assessments-based recommendations
Our database is being designed to connect students with curriculum that fits their assessment profile. That means, student learning style, personality, subject-by-subject competency, personal interests, etc. all go into determining which products will be recommended for each student as a result of searching our database. Metaphorically, our intentionally individually-focused approach to equipping him as a disciple of Christ provides your child with a professionally-tailored suit for every subject.

Educational tool that glorify Jesus
Christ-focused
Jesus is the Word. He holds all creation together. The deepest truth in any subject is rooted in Him. We focus on those roots first as we write and as we teach. All of our curriculum starts, progresses, and ends in our faith in Him.
Filled with wonder
The wonder of God's majesty fills His creation all around us. Our curriculum is written to convey that wonder. We know that everyone learns best when they are engaged and excited to understand. Everything we write reflects this simple truth: When we're taught the why behind the what, we remember them both. When we're taught the what without the why, we never learn either.
Academically rigorous—teaching to mastery
At Kairos Academy Pathfinders we know what it takes to write and teach curriculum that provides the keys to learning to mastery. Christians know the One who made all things. We believe that means that everything we do and everything we make should be better than what the world does and makes. We are writing curriculum that will equip our members to excel beyond society's expectations. Our products are designed to guide each student to mastery of the subject—whatever time that takes. Effective education (learning a subject well) is always more valuable than efficient education (learning a subject quickly). The one stays with us for a lifetime and shapes who we are. The other fades away after the test. Come join the adventure that is lifelong learning in Christ.

Training the Body
Pathfinders train to win the race of life. The path to victory includes treating the body as the Temple of the Lord. We are developing tools and materials to promote physical purity and well-being. We encourage proper nutrition, regular healthy exercise, participation in sports, good sleep hygiene, and more.

Each Academy is envisioned to a leader devoted to promoting the growth of the members as those who love the Lord their God with all their strength: The Strength Coordinator. Our communities will afford our members opportunities to work together to improve their physical health, and to learn to use their bodies to honor God and bless their neighbors.
Putting the pieces together
At Kairos Academy Pathfinders we see curriculum as a means of knitting heart, soul, mind, and strength together so that we can learn to love our neighbors as ourselves as we come to love the Lord our God with our whole beings.
